Unscrewed columnist Lauren Mowery has been sitting down with chefs all over the city to talk about the place wine has in their lives and kitchens. The latest installation of her series, in which Gabe and Katherine Thompson — executive chef and pastry chef of dell’anima, L’Artusi, Anfora, and L’Apicio — divulge their love of Italian wine, appears in this week’s paper.
A taste of that interview:
Is there one perfect wine and food pairing for you?
Gabe: To me, a perfect bottle of Brunello with bucatini all’amatriciana is the most perfect meal ever. Might as well include Katherine’s bittersweet chocolate budino, too.
