It’s fair to call this one-man outing cabaret’s longest-running hit, with the lean and eager monologist combines the tale of his passion for Patti LuPone (and ultimate escapades working alongside her) and the saga of life with a promiscuous gay dad. He’s funny and unflinching, and the result is harrowing hilarity. Miss this sui generis outcry at your peril.
