Mexican Radio, Berry Park, and Essex Are on Our List for Wednesday Happy Hour

The sun in shining, sangria is flowing, and you’re at your desk gazing out your window, contemplating what to do this evening. You could spend the night watching an entire season of Downtown Abbey, but why not take a look at some of the cities unique happy hours to say good bye to Wednesday? The hard part is over folks; you deserve it.

Mexican Radio, 19 Cleveland Place

From 4 to 7 p.m. at the bar, enjoy $4 beers as well as $5 specials on sangria and $6 margaritas. Don’t miss the deals on bar snacks like mini mac & cheese or the $3 guac and salsa sampler. People watching at nearby Petrosino Square has never felt better.

Berry Park, 4 Berry Street, Brooklyn

From 4 to 7 p.m., head over to Brooklyn’s best rooftop beer garden for a variety of $5 drink specials. This Thursday night features Simpsons Trivia at 7:30 p.m., and though Duff beer might not be available, any drink tastes great when you’re looking out over a Manhattan sunset.

Essex, 120 Essex Street

Still going strong, 2-for-1 drink specials like Jalapeño Margaritas and Pomegranate martinis–you know Sex and The City kinda drinks–as well as $1 oysters are available at this Lower East Side brunch classic from 5 to 8 p.m.

Barn Joo, 893 Broadway

Pocket this one for a rainy day: Everyday from 4 to 7:00 p.m., head on over to the bar at Flatiron’s Barn Joo for the “4567” special. For $20, share a 17-ounce carafe of Makegeolli–a traditional Korean alcoholic beverage–and a kimchi or garlic and scallion pancake with the one you love. Or, you know, with some friends from the office.
