Can’t score tickets to Shakespeare in the Park? Head downtown to Shakespeare in the Parking Lot, the Drilling Company’s delightful annual summer Shakespeare series at the Municipal Parking Lot on the Lower East Side. It kicks off this weekend with a space-age interpretation of Cymbeline, which concerns King Cymbeline, his daughter, Imogen, and the handsome Leonatus, whom the king banishes from England for marrying Imogen. The company’s second production of the summer will be a modern take on Richard III (August 1–17).
Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m. Starts: July 11. Continues through July 27, 2013
