Singlecut Beersmiths Are at the Forefront of Brewing in Queens (VIDEO)



Two weeks ago, when I detailed the history of the New York City brewing and distilling scene, I promised I’d soon debut videos covering the men and women who are local pioneers within the industry. In this first webisode of In the Spirit, I travel to Astoria, Queens, to check out Singlecut Beersmiths, a microbrewery that opened in the winter of 2012. There, I meet assistant brewer Brian Dwyer, tour the warehouse, taste some fermenting sour beer, and learn about the brewing history of Queens.
