When Beasts of the Southern Wild hit theaters last year, moviegoers fell in love with the film’s tiny protagonist, Hushpuppy. Played by Best Actress Oscar nominee Quvenzhané Wallis, the six-year-old 
heroine struggles to survive in her long-forgotten bayou community that faces a torrential hurricane. For tonight’s Celebrate Brooklyn! screening, director and composer Benh Zeitlin teams up with Dan Romer, Wordless Music Orchestra, and Slavic Soul Party to present his film with a live musical accompaniment. Roll out the blankets, settle down under the stars, and prepare to be transported 1,300 miles south to Louisiana.
