by

Can’t wait to start the weekend? Hit Summer Streets and break a sweat in Manhattan, then head to one of this weekend’s outer borough events to cool down.

Sixpoint Craft Beer & Food Crawl, multiple locations, Queens and Brooklyn, Saturday, 1 p.m.

Riders actually have a reason to love the G train this weekend! Sixpoint Brewery teams with a selection of LIC and Greenpoint restaurants–including Calexico, T.b.d. Brooklyn, and Alobar–for a bi-boro bash featuring 11 craft beers at 11 bars. Tickets are $31.59 online, and crawls start at your choice of Brooklyn Label or Alewife, which will also host the after party.

Farm Party, Havemeyer Park, 329 Kent Avenue, Brooklyn, Saturday, 5 p.m.

North Brooklyn Farms invites barbecuing aficionados for an evening of DIY grilling, live music, and sunset picnicking at the new Havemeyer Park. The event is BYOB, and attendees are advised to bring all grilling essentials including food. The park also boasts a bike course for those heading to the event on two wheels. Reserve your spot to snuggle under the sunset, and don’t forget to pack a blanket.

Marlow Summer Fair, 85 Broadway, Brooklyn, Sunday, 6 p.m.

Sausage and peppers, corn, and snowcones will fill the lot across from Marlow & Sons in an effort to raise funds to restore Cayuga Pure Organics. Advanced ticket purchase nets you four tickets for $35; tickets are $10 at the door. There’ll also be beer on tap courtesy of SingleCut Beersmiths–which you can read more about in Eve Turow’s Singlecut Beersmiths Are at the Forefront of Brewing in Queens.
