This isn’t the casual ping-pong you grew up with in the basement rec room. Co-owned by Susan Sarandon and frequented by celebrities, SPIN is designed for those who are serious about the sport. For the height of ping-pong madness, stop by on a Friday night for the Dirty Dozen Pro Ping-Pong Tournament to see 12 of the world’s top players battle it out for a $500 prize. The center table is surrounded by lounge and bleacher seating, so it’s a crowd-friendly event, even if you don’t know a chop from a drive. There’s also ongoing live music, comedians, and a new menu of treats (try the Kobe beef empanadas and risotto balls). No cover charge, but after 9, only patrons 21 and over are admitted.
