Behind the Scenes at Brooklyn Brew Shop (VIDEO)

Stephen Valand and Erica Shea first started homebrewing to experiment with flavors they weren’t seeing in the aisles of their favorite shops–and they quickly noticed it was nearly impossible to find brewing supplies in the five boroughs and even harder to get clear instructions on how to make what they wanted to make. That led them to launch Brooklyn Brew Shop, an online store where they sell unique and seasonal homebrew kits to enthusiasts and amateurs alike.

In the below video, the first episode of In The Spirit‘s six-part fall season, Eve Turow heads home with Valand and Shea to hear their story and talk about the upcoming launch of their new brewery, EST Brewing Company.
