Borrowing the title of his 2011 album, British dub producer Neal Fraser’s “Roots of Dubstep” tour casts historical perspective upon dance music’s uptempo mutation of Jamaica’s cavernous sonic deconstructions. For Fraser, dub is the sound of freedom, audio experimentalism, and massive amounts of mind-twisting echo. Here he’ll captain the soundboard while the thunderous Subatomic Sound System provides the raw material.
