Despite fears that the annual Greenwich Village Halloween Parade wouldn’t happen this year, strong support from the community and a great Kickstarter campaign made sure that New York City wouldn’t go another year without a Halloween celebration. And considering the parade’s 40th year in existence, tens of thousands went above an beyond to turn 6th Avenue into the weird, creepy and very exciting place to be last night (Oct.31). From realistic-looking zombies that were ready to bust into some ‘Thriller’ action to the Ghostbusters who were ready to zap them away, the night’s festivities brought the freak out of everyone.
