Annisa Hosts Forager and Cookbook Author Hank Shaw (PHOTOS)

Last night at Annisa (13 Barrow Street, 212-741-6699), Anita Lo’s beloved West Village hideaway for grown-ups, cookbook author Hank Shaw hosted a special dinner to celebrate the release of his new book, Duck, Duck, Goose, a lighthearted treatise on care and cooking of modern fowl from field or farm.

At this five-course affair, Lo reinterpreted Shaw’s recipes in dressed-up, fanciful dishes like duck and goose gizzard confit with frisse, duck pho, and guinea hen gumbo with Alaskan shrimp, all paired with wines from the ever-expansive Arianna Occhipinti.
