Have a cheap snack ideal for drunk munchies — or a cheap dinner — on this, the biggest bar night of the year.
Tonight’s the biggest bar night of the year, which means it’s your duty to go out there and tie one on, if only so you can deal with the relatives tomorrow. If you’re doing that in the vicinity of Bushwick, you might consider dropping into Arancini Bros. for either a late-night snack or a pre-game cheap dinner. Two of these $4 balls suffice for a meal — we tried to order three once, and we got a wide-eyed stare from the counter attendant, who said, “You must be REALLY hungry. These guys are frequently putting out seasonal variations on the crisp-edged balls of rice, and most of those are worth consideration; we’ve never been led astray by the buffalo chicken, the ragu, or the nutella (a sweet version that made our list of 100 favorite dishes), but tonight, we’d go for the Thanksgiving special, a turkey- and cranberry-injected ball that will almost certainly be on the menu.
