The Crystal Ark

Gavin Russom is DFA’s secret weapon, having released crunchy acid house as Black Meteoric Star and synthesizer epics with artist Delia Gonzalez in addition to his touring role in LCD Soundsystem. His latest collaborative project, the Crystal Ark, weaves Russom’s incredibly diverse musical inspirations and analog obsessions into polyrhythmic funk workouts, aided by sibilant, bilingual vocals from Viva Ruiz. The eight-piece outfit (including dancers!) plays live to celebrate the eigth anniversary of Kiss & Tell at new Williamsburg venue Baby’s All Right.
