PREMIERE: Schtompa Remix of Sol Cat’s “Keep Your Heat”

“It’s pretty rad to see another artist dissect and give another perspective on your song, especially someone you are a fan of,” says Brett Hammann of Nashville band Sol Cat. In this instance, Hammann is referring to the Schtompa (Jason of Cherub) remix of Sol Cat’s “Keep Your Heat” off their fall release Welcome to Cowabunga. The band has kept busy over the past few months with opening gigs for Diarrhea Planet, Beach Fossils, Wild Cub and more, as well as their very own Daytrotter session. Now, after being named Nashville Deli’s Artist of the Month for the second time in less than year this past January, Sol Cat sees their already smooth and groovy sound made even funkier by Schtompa. Take a listen after the jump.
