Romano Drom

This excellent Hungarian quintet named after the “gypsy road” hails from the Oláh community of Roma people. They still sing the old songs with onomatopoeic panache, using kitchen utensils for percussion, and over the years have extended their sound with Arabic oud, Spanish guitar, and most recently, Balkan brass. Tonight’s pre-show festivities include free “cultural” cocktails and dance lessons.
