Chef Brian Tsao’s new brunch centers around bringing a variety of Asian ingredients and cooking techniques to American brunch classics, though two hours of unlimited brunch cocktails for $10 with the purchase of an entree might be more incentive to stop by. Guests can enjoy glasses of passion fruit mimosas and lychee bellinis while trying pancakes with azuki red bean compote or bulgogi beef benedict. There’s also a Korean burger with kimchi if you arrive later in the day, and beer and wine are also available for purchase.

Though the vintage neon sign may scream tourist trap, you’ll likely find a fun young crowd taking advantage of cheap brunch specials here. The restaurant offers a $2.95 first-drink-of-the-day special with an entree, and most dishes are priced between $9 and $18 — and unless you’re hell bent on steak and eggs, your dish will fall on the cheaper side of that range. Two locations uptown make this a place that’s perfect, too, for a pre-museum meal.

If the weekend is bringing you beer fever, you might want to pass on your usual bellini to mix things up. Empire Brewing Co. is offering $6 pints to pair with the kitchen’s brunch menu, which includes items like crab and avocado omelettes as well as a breakfast burrito. The pairing will include some of the brewery’s more notable offerings, and the restaurant’s craft beer selection is the perfect place to unwind into the evening if you’ve got nowhere else to go.

Just in time for Mardi Gras, this N’awlins themed kitchen and dining room is a good stop if you can’t make it down to the Big Easy this year.
