After a breakup, most of us would prefer to never see our exes again. But what if you not only had to see yours, but had to kiss this person night after night in front of an audience? Sarah Ruhl’s Stage Kiss, opening tonight at Playwrights Horizons, explores that very question when two actors with a romantic past are cast as lovers in a 1930s melodrama. Will all the onstage necking rekindle their real-life romance? Michael Cyril Creighton, Dominic Fumusa, and Jesssica Hecht are in the cast. Director Rebecca Taichman stages the fireworks.
