Here’s something fun and for a good cause, too: a benefit exhibition and sale of art to raise funds for CalArts, the renowned West Coast art school. Find works at Metro Pictures and Paula Cooper Gallery by Lynda Benglis, Judy Chicago, Liz Glynn, and many more. About an hour into the evening, the collective My Barbarian, now performing at the Whitney Biennial, and a group of opera singers pick guests up from Metro Pictures and lead them through the streets of Chelsea to the Paula Cooper Gallery for more drinking and merriment.
