Hundreds of you came out for our Choice Streets food truck tasting event, where 23 mobile vendors parked at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum and doled out bites that ranged from Philly cheese steaks to shrimp rolls to empanadas to slushies. After you tasted something from each truck, we asked you to vote on a favorite dish…and we’ve now tallied those ballots so we can crown this year’s Choice Streets Fan Favorite.
And the winner is…
This truck hit the streets in the fall of last year, and it turns out a menu of small bites like taro cakes, spring rolls, and zong zi, sticky rice and fillings wrapped in a banana leaf pouch. It’s garnered a following for its dumplings, which is what it served at Choice Streets; the doughy pockets were filled with pork and chive.
