Screaming Females have been on a rigorous tour grind since they began, and it’s paid off quite wonderfully for the New Jersey rock band. The intensity of their performances rubs off on their studio recordings in everything from the raw production to the visceral guitar riffs to lead singer Marissa Paternoster’s ferocious voice, so it’s only fitting that they’ve finally released a live album. On Live at the Hideout, the band’s sound and energy jump out of your headphones and give you a swift kick in the eardrums. Though the album was recorded in Chicago, the Screamales party it up in honor of the new release with a blistering show at the Brooklyn Night Bazaar.
