Ever try mermaid? If not, you should check out this weekend’s best events.

Copenhagen Street Food Festival, Multiple Locations, Saturday, 11 a.m.

Revolving Dansk will be serving Danish hot dogs with the original Danish fixings, such as fried onions, remoulade, and Danish sweet pickles, or frikadeller, which are frika-delicious meatballs with Scandinavian sauces.

LGBT Pride Brunch, Riverview Restaurant, 2-01 50th Avenue, Queens, Saturday, noon

Show pride by waking up early on a Saturday and get rewarded with mimosas. To get Pride month started, guests are invited to join in on brunch. We’re betting there’ll be several unofficial after-parties throughout Long Island City afterwards. The event is free to attend.

Coney Island Mermaid Parade, Coney Island, Saturday, 1 p.m.

New York’s aquatic-themed parade returns for another year as the Coney Island boardwalk transforms into a giant display of living artwork. The event, which is free for all to attend, will include everything from muscle cars to appearances by Adam “Realman” Richman and a king and queen aka the de Blasio kids. After the parade ends, the annual Mermaid Parade Ball will take place at the Brooklyn Cyclones’ own MCU Park, with plenty of drinks and food ready to release creative spirits in a different way. Tickets start at $35 for the after party and can be purchased on the event’s website.
