Amy Wu is a Queens native, but you may have guessed that from her blog. For her, 27 years living in the borough has stirred up more than just pride — namely, a kickstarter campaign, website, and a massive undertaking to tell the personal stories of its many and varied residents. Wu’s Humans of New York-inspired web project premieres tonight at the QNSMADE Exhibition and Launch Party. Meet some of the artists who will be featured on the new site and see their work before it goes live. There also are performances by Queens-based rapper Your Boy for Life and poet Audrey Dimola. Chow down on some Taiwanese comfort food by Outer Borough and frosty treats by Snowdays. Local brewers SingleCut BeerSmith and Astoria’s own Anthem Craft Soda have the drinks covered. Come and get to know your neighbors in person before they’re featured online.
