Users of a message board sympathetic to terrorist group the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) have posted instructions on how to make a bomb and are encouraging would-be terrorists to attack tourist hotspots including Times Square, according to a report by the news site Vocativ.

According to the Vocativ report, the post was created three weeks ago, and resurfaced “with renewed urgency” on Saturday, following the publication of a video that depicted the beheading of British aid worker David Haines at the hands of ISIS fighters.

The bomb-making instructions, which were included in a post titled “To the Lone Wolves in America: How to Make a Bomb in Your Kitchen, to Create Scenes of Horror in Tourist Spots and Other Targets,” appear adapted from a recipe that was previously published in the Al Qaeda magazine Inspire.

Contacted for comment about the report, Detective Kelly Ort with the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner for Public Information said it would be necessary to submit such a request in writing. At press time, the NYPD had not responded to that written request.
