You’ve gotta be over 21 to deserve Austin McCormick’s new, 90-minute Rococo Rouge, which braids together cutting-edge sensuality and extravagant classicism. After eight years of experimental work in a Brooklyn garage, a clutch of twisted fairy-tale projects, and an X-rated Nutcracker season in Greenwich Village, the baroque dancer and his Company XIV broach Colonnade Row, opening a new 100-seat theater-lounge that starts serving cocktails at 5 p.m. to put you in the mood. Conservatory-trained dancers, singers, and actors described as “theatrical libertines” take most of it off as they offer can-cans, operatic arias, dancing boys, circus, ballet, burlesque and more.
Mondays-Sundays, 8 p.m. Starts: Sept. 25. Continues through Nov. 2, 2014
