When one restaurant’s doors close, another’s open in fast-paced New York City, and every Friday, we’ll fill you in on what opened up around town. This week was a slow one for openings, but here are a pair of new entrants.
Lincoln Center Kitchen, Broadway at 65th Street; 212-874-7000
We got a sneak peek at Lincoln Center Kitchen earlier this week. Chef Ed Brown created the menu, which includes items such as corn chowder with crabmeat, a short rib burger, and chicken pot pie. Lincoln Center Kitchen is open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday and for lunch on Friday and Saturday, when there is a matinee show.
Morsi, 22 Warren Street, 212-577-2725
Taking the place of Brick is Morsi, an 80-seat Italian restaurant. Italian for bites, Morsi is serving up everything from sweet potato gnocchi to free range lemon chicken to calzones. Chef Kenneth Johnson, formerly of Pescatore, is running the kitchen. Morsi is now open for dinner everyday except Sunday.
