Best Caribbean Restaurant

The calypso beats of West Indian music spill from Gloria’s Caribbean Cuisine, a tiny Crown Heights restaurant that’s been around for decades. The menu centers around, unsurprisingly, the West Indies, a fusion of African and Indian culinary traditions, and offers such specialties as jerk chicken, aloo pie, and roti stuffed with curried potato and chickpeas. Be sure to save room for one of Gloria’s specialty cakes, an order of fried plantains, or curried mango — and don’t miss the pumpkin roti in the fall.
