Best Concert of the Past 12 Months

If you’re going to stage a homecoming concert in New York City, you might as well sell out two nights at Yankee Stadium, right? Bronx-born Romeo Santos did exactly that this year, becoming the first Latin artist since the Fania All-Stars in 1973 to headline the venue. Aside from his charm, sense of humor, and remarkable ability to enthrall a packed crowd of 50,000, the King of Bachata is also a master of staying true to his roots, even being pegged as a “reverse crossover” artist who has brought mainstream artists like Drake into his world, rather than conforming to their repertoire. During his historic concert, Santos was sexy and cool beneath the screams of his adoring fans; most importantly, he was genuinely enjoying every minute of it.
