A short film, like a short story, requires something different of the creative and consumptive process. Analyze and consume away at the second annual Nitehawk Shorts Festival, which showcases five days of films that span 20 minutes or less. On opening night, enjoy a Q&A and after-party at the downstairs bar with filmmakers, and before the midnight screening on Friday night, enjoy more talk at the downstairs bar. Thursday evening features a special one-night screening with pioneering video artist Aldo Tambellini, whose work influenced Andy Warhol, followed by a Q&A with Tambellini himself and a performance by Alyse Lamb. The festival includes midnight and brunch screenings, and believe us, you’ll want to eat these Tater Tots in between films (not during — the deliciousness will eclipse your other faculties).
