Hilary Hughes to Join Village Voice as Music Editor


The Village Voice is pleased to announce that Hilary Hughes will join the staff as music editor on February 2.

Hughes comes to the Voice from Fuse, where she edited music news and contributed to the television channel’s pop culture and festival coverage. Her writing has appeared in Esquire, Rolling Stone, Elle, USA Today, Billboard, the Boston Globe, and DigBoston, where she was arts and entertainment editor from 2010 to 2012.

Hughes has been contributing to the Voice‘s music section and thoroughly enjoys hanging out in the city’s beloved music dives, bowing at the altar of the Apollo Theater and watching Saturday Night Live on the weekly’s behalf. She lives in Brooklyn.
