What do you have to do to deserve a seven-year-long spanking? Just be your irresistible self! Tonight SPANK, the queer art zine, is back in Brooklyn for its seventh birthday. An offshoot of the original Spank party — a meet-up equal parts sexy and smart — the concept has grown into a handsome art journal and daily blog, still dedicated to its original goal of providing a stage for queer artists. Tonight’s entertainment includes music by Sean Be and DJ Will Automagic and art installations by longtime collaborator Jeffrey Owen Ralston, all of it lovingly hosted by Paul Leopold and Mark Dommu of The Culture Whore art collective. Arrive early for readings by the Bureau of General Services–Queer Division.
