Hannibal Buress has proven himself a solid sidekick, highlighting with his mellow, deadpan wit the zany stoner antics of the Broad City ladies and the borderline lunacy of Eric André. This evening, he stands on his own, bringing his “Comedy Camisado” tour to BAM. Despite his laid-back vibe, his recent, hilarious evisceration of Bill Cosby shows that Buress is more than willing to broach topics that other comics might shy away from. At once brash and brainy, his stand-up has been praised by the likes of the New York Times and Rolling Stone, and he’s certainly done his part to brighten the NYC comedy landscape through his free Sunday-night shows at the Knitting Factory. Tonight, expect a showcase of observational humor, with a bit of sass and swagger.
