Gather all ye caffeine enthusiasts: The tenth annual Coffee and Tea Festival is here. The 28,000-square-foot Brooklyn Expo Center in Greenpoint will host more than 60 vendors from around the globe and 100-plus samples of tea and, as requested by attendees last year, more coffee. The weekend-long event features demonstrations from industry pioneers and tastings that will expand your palate. Classes like “Hands-On Home Brewing” ($10), taught by Clark Le Compte of Toby’s Estate, and “Tea & Cheese” ($15), taught by “tea sommelier” Cynthia Gold, could probably teach you a thing or two about how to enhance your daily cuppa. Proceeds will go to the Alzheimer’s Association and Cup for Education, an organization that helps build schools in areas populated by impoverished coffee farmers.
