Today the MTA teams up with the Poetry Society of America to give you a poem…as in, a poem just for you. In a project inspired by Peanuts’ Lucy and her advice booth, more than 20 luminaries will write poems on the spot for anyone who wants one — and they won’t even charge you five cents. Poets will include state laureate Marie Howe, Pulitzer-winner Sharon Olds, and founder of the iconic Bowery Poetry Society Bob Holman, so don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to act as their muse. They will be accompanied by live music from 11am to 7pm.
