The Strange Journey Through Every Bodega in New York


Walking fifteen miles a day, Gail Victoria Braddock Quagliata set off to photograph every bodega in Manhattan. She has done just that, and in the process conducted a compelling exploration of street culture in New York. With 4,000 locations on camera, tonight she’ll join the Obscura Society to share her images and stories of stumbling upon hidden gambling dens, secret beaches, and catcalls in just about every language under the sun.
