“He learned quickly; he was constantly asking questions,” said New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio on Friday, May 8 during the funeral for 25-year-old NYPD officer Brian Moore. “It became clear to many he was a rising star. In a few short years he made it to the elite anti-crime unit.” Moore was shot in the head on Saturday by a man in Queens Village, and his family removed him from life support on Monday.
