Spike’s Lip Sync Battle has been one of TV’s big hits this year, and the celebrity lip-syncing series made its way to Central Park on Monday, July 13, for the first-ever live performance of the show.
Hometown hip-hop hero LL Cool J and model Chrissy Teigen hosted the event, with rapper Doug E. Fresh holding down the pre-show and surprise onstage collaboration with LL. And instead of bringing a new pair of stars to go head to head in the musical ring, Julianne and Derek Hough, who were previously on the show, had a rematch to settle which sibling would be able to wear the LSB championship belt. Broad City stars Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson gave the crowd sneak peeks of their performances for a future episode, while Today Show co-host and previous winner Hoda Kotb also made a surprise appearance.
