Today, the Village Voice announces the third round of participating breweries for the fifth annual Brooklyn Pour festival, on September 26 at the Brooklyn Expo Center (72 Noble Street). The 24 new breweries announced today include: Allagash Brewing Company, Alphabet City Brewing Co., Angry Orchard, Barrier Brewing Co., Brooklyn Brewery, Dogfish Head Brewery, Fire Island Beer Company, Firestone Walker Brewing Company, Keegan Ales, KelSo Beer Company, Lost Nation Brewing, Newburgh Brewing Company, North Coast Brewing Company, Oskar Blues Brewery, Other Half Brewing, Otter Creek Brewing, Paulaner NYC, Samuel Adams, Shiner Brewery, Shmaltz Brewing Company, the Flagship Brewing Company, Traveler Beer Company, Two Roads Brewing Co., and Wolaver’s Fine Organic Ales.
These breweries will join the previously announced participants for a total of 53 breweries confirmed to date, with over 100 beers: ACE Cider, Anchor Brewing Company, Asahi Beer, Aspall, Austin Eastciders, Braven Brewing Company, Brooklyn Brew Shop, Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, Coney Island Brewing Co., Crabbies Ginger Beer, Downeast Cider Hosue, Empire Brewing Company, Fentimans, Greenport Harbor Brewing Co., Harpoon Brewery, Krombacher Brewery, Kronenbourg Brewery, McKenzie’s Hard Cider, Queens Brewery, Rockaway Brewing Company, Singha Beer, Singlecut Beersmiths, Sixpoint Brewery, Speakeasey Ales and Lager, St. Feuilliens, Victory Brewing Company, War Flag Brewing Company, and Weihenstephan.
In addition to the thrill of tasting through the huge number of craft brews at Brooklyn Pour, there will fun, games, and food in store, including DJ sets by Jonathan Clarke of Q104.3 and a Game Zone, with life-size pong, cornhole, and more. An outdoor food court will have eats available from Keste Pizza, Papaya King, and Coney Shack, among others.
The Sam Adams Stein Hoist competition will be returning to the event, with male and female events; winners will receive prizes — and bragging rights. Guests can also enjoy the official souvenir photo booth sponsored by Flat Rate Moving; a Red Carpet welcome sponsored by Fodor’s Travel; a souvenir tasting glass by AVA DoBro; and an official Brooklyn Pour Beer Scorecard provided by Asahi. The Village Voice is calling out to volunteers to join the official 2015 Brooklyn Pour “Brew Crew.” Volunteers will represent Brooklyn Pour in a variety of roles and will be selected based on event experience and knowledge, and dedication. Volunteer applicants must be 25 or older and must apply in advance.
This year’s Brooklyn Pour will feature three tiers of ticket options. All ticket holders will be offered unlimited tastings of 100-plus beers, a souvenir tasting glass, entertainment, and an exclusive Brooklyn Pour photo booth. The V.I.P. ticket ($85) allows guests entry one full hour early (at 2 p.m.), plus access to the private V.I.P. lounge with a private bar, complimentary snacks, and a V.I.P. gift bag. The Early Entry ticket ($65) will allow guests entry into the main room of the event a full half-hour earlier, at 2:30 p.m. The General Admission ticket ($55) allows entrance from 3 p.m. until the end of the event.
