Hot Fish and Chicken Pop Up

Chef David Santos has added hot catfish to his Nashville-style hot chicken pop-up menu, which returns to Noreetuh this week for one night only. Guests can grab a land or sea package with traditional sides like potato salad and baked beans. A limited number of whole chickens or catfish will also be available for pickup between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Guests must make a reservation in advance.
Major League Film Feast
Nitehawk Cinema (136 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn)

Nitehawk Cinema and Brooklyn Hot Dog Company are teaming up to celebrate the return of baseball season with a Major League-themed film feast. Artisanal hot dogs with toppings like mozzarella, gruyere, and tzatziki will be on the ballpark-inspired menu. Drink pairings and desserts (like caramel corn and ice cream) will also be included. Taste of the Lower East Side

Some of the Lower East Side’s popular restaurants — including Maharlika, Veselka, and newly opened Lucky Bee — will sample their fare all under one roof at the Taste of the Lower East Side. Guests will be able to try 46 different restaurant offerings with sweets and cocktails included, too. Tickets ($195 per person) include three hours of unlimited food and drink.
Taste of Fifth 2016
The Grand Prospect Hall (263 Prospect Avenue, Brooklyn)

Grab a bite at the Taste of Fifth, featuring over 45 eateries that call Park Slope home. This tasting extravaganza will have plenty of eats — including slices from Artichoke Pizza, Mexican treats from Calexico, and burgers courtesy of Fleisher’s. Beer and wine are included in the $55 admission, and $20 from each ticket will go to the local charity of your choice.
Q-Boro Lit Crawl

If you’re tired of being the only person who enjoys reading at bars, hop aboard the Q-Boro Lit Crawl with local writers and poets. Crawlers can choose from four different one-hour time blocks, all of which offer a selection of readings. Once all that pub crawling is done, there will will be an afterparty where you can mingle with your new favorite writers and lit-loving friends. Tickets start at $11.54.
