This past week has been rough for a lot of people, so on Wednesday, we sent one of our photographers to take some photos of cute dogs. And not just any dogs: it was a special day organized by Subaru and the ASPCA, bringing several carfulls of New York shelter pups to Bear Mountain State Park for an afternoon of forest frolicking. The dogs — all up for adoption — romped around on glass-free sidewalks, rolled in dirt harboring no cigarette butts, and generally enjoyed a day of total freedom… which is more than most of us can say for how we’ve felt the last week. If you are indeed feeling like garbage right now, consider stopping by a local shelter to volunteer or, even better, take home a new friend. It’ll probably do you both good.
