Though for vacationers, Miami is known for its nightlife, beaches and attractions. But for entrepreneurs, it has become recognized for its business opportunities, particularly in the last year and a half in light of the pandemic. For blossoming entrepreneur Marko Gojanovic, Miami has been a place for tremendous opportunity where he once launched his own entrepreneurial endeavors after giving up a dream to play professional tennis as a result of a career-ending injury.
Despite being forced to say goodbye to tennis, Gojanovic switched gears and wholeheartedly pursued a professional career in Miami beginning in nightlife. After spending more than a decade in hospitality, one of his most notable projects was the launch of the recent Miami hotspot Joia Beach with partners Chris Paciello and Mio Danilovic. Having launched in the middle of the pandemic, Joia Beach was met with wild success, being an outdoor venue, making it covid compliant when other venues were forced to remain closed. As the vibey restaurant/lounge is now regarded as one of the most popular destinations in Miami, Gojanovic has since parted ways with the venture.
These days, he’s shifted into another sector of business in Miami—real estate. Having recently joined the prestigious ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, Gojanovic has already seen impressive success, closing some of Miami’s biggest real estate deals. Thanks to a Miami network that he’s spent years building, the entrepreneur is taking the real estate scene by storm. But at the core of all of his endeavors, Gojanovic has remained dedicated and invested, giving all of his projects and opportunities incredible commitment from start to finish.
“I’m a firm believer that it doesn’t matter where you are in life, if you put in the hard work, things will open up, whether it takes three years or five years,” he continued. “You just have to do the work and breakthroughs will follow.”
