Wine: an age-old beverage perennially present throughout history and in the still-written story of our own lives. From a brief sip at first communion to a toast to a promotion at work, a lively companion for a delicious meal or a steady comfort at a somber occasion, the multifaceted drink that is wine has certainly turned from a classic beverage into a modern-day fixture. Now, businessman Samuel ‘Sam’ Jordan sets out to make his own mark on the world of wine with Red Bear Winery, with plans to launch at the end of 2021.
Jordan’s wine-centric venture comes with years of experience in the industry, having sold top-of-the-line grapes to various other wineries from his family’s vineyard in Sonoma County’s renowned Alexander Valley over the past decade. Knowing he could harness the family’s fruitful asset for the better, Jordan decided to divert his family’s cabernet sauvignon grapes into his own range of wines in 2018, founding Red Bear Winery in the process.
Now, as the end of the year fast approaches, wine lovers across the country are buzzing in anticipation of Red Bear Winery’s debut, looking forward to sampling the 2018-bottled red. Though time will tell about the beverage’s ultimate reception among the public, Jordan’s previous business opportunities across the tourism and hospitality sectors and his own personal roots in the wine industry bode well for Red Bear Winery’s ultimate and widespread success.
