One cryptic tweet and one not-so-cryptic Showtime promo later, we’re all drawn back into David Lynch’s world of teenage murder, biker gangs, Canadian whorehouses, omniscient logs, sweaters, and damn good coffee. The 1990 series Twin Peaks certainly raised the spooky bar to chilling new heights: Nothing on television, let alone network television, has ever scared us as much as that dancing dwarf or BOB lurking at the foot of Laura’s bed. There were plenty of creepy references and costume options available for “Halloween in the Black Lodge”, Glassland’s Twin Peaks–themed Halloween party. Attendees dressed as their favorite characters to win prizes, enjoyed cups of “good hot black coffee” and doughnuts as they swayed to the “Welcome to Twin Peaks” DJ set of dark electronic pop. –Heather Baysa.
