Directing Tony Kushner’s magnum opus for TV may be the best thing Mike Nichols has done since Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf, or even splitting up with Elaine May. The stellar cast includes Al Pacino, Mary-Louise Parker, Meryl Streep, and Jeffrey Wright. Like the play, it’s divided into two three-hour parts.
