This year’s food section of Best Of NYC features three sections. In the first, Voice food mavens Robert Sietsema, Sarah DiGregorio, and Rebecca Marx list their 10 favorite dishes of the preceding year. In the second, the three go head-to-head on the theme of this year’s issue—a New York City take on the retro-America mood sweeping the country.
They’ve done this by selecting five of the most iconic dishes that old-fashioned American cuisine offers, and then differing vociferously about who makes the best. And finally, the writers produced a passel of the usual Best Ofs, and these are unattributed, so you’ll have to figure out who wrote what.
