Loyal readers of our online Fashion Week coverage in February (both of you) will recall that the apex of our haphazard, sequin-blinded adventures was sitting along the runway of 3.1 Phillip Lim, adjacent to Kanye, and reeling in our sudden, mostly unwarranted ascent into stylishness. But not even Captain Ego and his crazily festooned Sgt. Pepper’s–style entourage could distract us from Lissy Trullie, the punk pixie performing at the end of the runway: The singer-songwriter’s gamine growl and Iggy Pop hooks perfectly capped the upscale-rocker looks on the runway. Trullie’s a fast-ascending art star for her own look, with that Edie Sedgwick hair and occasional modeling for Moises de la Renta (Oscar’s son), but her frisky EP Self-Taught Learner stands alone without any haute wrapping. With U.S. Royalty.
