You might be shocked at how many OnlyFans stars are able to keep their accounts secret — or at least, secret from their friends and family. That mom in your PTA that looks so buttoned up? She could have an OnlyFans account that no one knows about. Some creators prefer to remain anonymous so they can keep their personal life completely separate.
But how do they do it?
There are a few tricks that OnlyFans creators use.
The most obvious answer is to not use your face in any content. And yes, it is possible to create a successful OnlyFans account without revealing your identity to the public. (OnlyFans does require you to show your face to verify your identity when you create an account, but that information isn’t public.)
Some creators use masks or disguises to keep their identity secret, while others rely on heavy makeup or wigs. Some just stick with body pictures or video so their face isn’t in the frame at all.
But even if you keep your face out of frame, keep in mind that your surrounding could reveal your identity too. Popular locations in your area could show people what city you live in, or identifying information in your room could clue people in as well — especially if a friend or family members stumbles across your account.
Whether you use your face or not, there are other steps to take to keep your identity hidden.
First, you’ll want to use a fake name. Again, this will be for the public as OnlyFans will require your real name to verify your identity. You’ll also want a new email address related to that name, as well as social media accounts. You do not want to use a phone number on those new social media accounts unless you get a new number that is not connected to your real name.
And make sure you don’t connect those social media accounts to your contacts if you’re using the same phone. Many social media platforms suggest your account to your contacts and vice versa, even if you have those settings turned off — and thats how many anonymous creators are accidentally found by their friends or family.
That’s why one Reddit user recommends using a separate phone if you want to keep your OnlyFans account hidden. She said, “I did no face fully anonymous for eight months my first started OF. I also had multiple anonymous social media accounts that I started from zero as well. No friends or family found out until I told them a few months ago and then I started showing my face. I got a brand new, solely dedicated phone for my SWer accounts with no contacts in the phone.”
The platform itself also offers some features that can help creators hide from those they don’t want to find them. Private accounts allow creators to only show content to subscribers, which doesn’t guarantee your boss won’t find your account, but they’ll have to subscribe to see what you’re posting.
OnlyFans also offers limited visibility settings, the ability to block or restrict certain users, and other features to try to protect their creators. But it’s important to know that it is impossible for anyone to guarantee that you’ll stay anonymous. If you do want to become an OnlyFans creator, you need to be prepared for the likelihood that your account can be found at any time. It may never happen, but never say never.
