Come March 13, more than 50 of this city’s top restaurants will swoop into the Metropolitan Pavilion (125 West 18th Street) for our eighth annual Choice Eats tasting event, where they’ll serve bites of some of their signature dishes. This is a chance to sample restaurants from all over the five boroughs, and this year’s roster of restaurants is truly excellent — so don’t miss it.
Fork in the Road handpicks the participants in this festival, and so far we’ve told you that you can expect to see 2 Duck Goose, 606 R&D, Awadh, Bobwhite Lunch & Supper Counter, Butter & Scotch, Commerce Restaurant, The East Pole, Fletcher’s Brooklyn Barbecue, Huertas, John Brown Smokehouse, Littleneck, Luke’s Lobster, MAX, No. 7, The NoMad, Spicy Pot, Thai Rock, and Tuome.
We have seven more restaurants to announce, which brings our number of participants up to 25:
Ample Hills Creamery
Brooklyn Kolache Co.
Casa Mono and Bar Jamon
Gloria’s Caribbean Cuisine
Mable’s Smokehouse
The Queens Kickshaw
Robicelli’s
With your General Admission ticket ($65), you’ll get unlimited bites from these restaurants (and the rest of the restaurants that join the event) plus complimentary desserts, beer, wine, and spirits. Spring for the VIP ticket ($99), and you’ll get to enter the event an hour early, plus you’ll receive access to the VIP lounge and take home a VIP gift bag. Early Entry Preview tickets ($85) get you in the door a half-hour early. You can also purchase Choice Eats/Choice Streets combo tickets for an additional 10 percent off. Both VIP combo tickets ($170) and GA combo tickets ($115) are available, and will offer guests entry to Choice Eats plus tickets to the Choice Streets food truck event at The Intrepid on May 5.
We’re also accepting applications for volunteers, if you’d like to assist the Village Voice team on-site at the event. All volunteers will receive a free general admission ticket to our fourth annual Choice Streets food truck tasting event on May 5. To apply, you must be 21 years or older. Head on over to the application if you’re interested.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow, January 14, at noon, and all ticket levels will be available (so if you missed out on VIP tickets during pre-sale, you’ll have another chance to score them). Head over to the ticket website to purchase.
And check out the Choice Eats website for more information.
