Jhumpa Lahiri, the Pulitzer Prize-winning chronicler of Bengalese-American life, will speak with visual artist Simon Dinnerstein this Sunday at BookCourt about her essay in “The Suspension of Time: Reflections on Simon Dinnerstein and The Fulbright Triptych.” The book is a collection of writings on Dinnerstein’s painting, a simplistically vibrant family portrait that’s considered an iconic work of ’70s realism and includes essays from poet Dan Beachy-Quick and actor John Turturro. Ann Tracy, a visual artist based in Brooklyn, will preside over the conversation, which features a multimedia presentation of Dinnerstein’s work and is part of a fundraiser for the Brooklyn Waldorf School.
