Kyp Malone+Sharon Van Etten

With TV on the Radio on hiatus for a year, vocalist-guitarist Kyp Malone is doing a solo show to open for indie-rock singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten. Tonight’s concert is the release show for her latest, Epic, which is full of heart-on-sleeve, emotionally raw acoustic ballads. Given Malone’s penchant for political metaphors and right up-front vocals, the pair–who toured together last year–will make excellent foils for one another.
